Semgrep Deal Registration
Semgrep offers a Deal Registration program as an incentive for authorized partners to uncover opportunities in the market. We strive to make the program transparent and efficient.
The following rules govern the program.
- Semgrep recognizes Deal Registration on an individual sales opportunity basis, not for all opportunities related to an account.
- Eligibility - All of the following must be true for a deal registration to be accepted:
- The opportunity is not already registered by a different Partner
- The opportunity is not already in the Semgrep sales pipeline
- The Partner has made pre-sales efforts related to the deal, such as referring the end user to a Semgrep webinar, meeting with the decision makers, or helping the end user to define the project requirements to include Semgrep products. Partners must include a description of such efforts in the “Deal Description” section (e.g BANT qualifications).
- The opportunity registration contains specific customer contact information, and represents a qualified lead, with a defined project and budget in place.
- The deal is not the subject of an RFP, or similar tender process, that has been published (unless the partner registers the deal before the RFP is published).
- Regardless of whether a partner uses the Semgrep referral tools (custom webinar URLs, etc.) for lead generation purposes, when a specific opportunity is identified the Deal Registration form must still be completed. All eligibility requirements remain in effect.
- Acceptance Period
- Semgrep will Approve or Reject the deal registration within 2 business days of talking to the Partner's account team.
- Multiple Opportunities in Same Account
- When a Partner successfully closes a Deal Registered opportunity within a new account for Semgrep, the Partner retains the right to Deal Registered pricing on any related opportunity identified within that account for a period of 90 days. After 3 months, any opportunities at that account but already in the Semgrep sales pipeline will be ineligible for Deal Registration. New opportunities emerging after the 3-month period, but not already in the Semgrep sales pipeline, will be subject to the standard Deal Registration eligibility requirements.
- Expiration
- To remain eligible, a registered opportunity must be closed within 120 days from the time of submission.
- Partners may request 30-day extensions, which may be granted by Semgrep in its sole discretion if they are actively working the deal.
- Thereafter the Partner must re-register the opportunity, the approval of which will be granted by Semgrep in its sole discretion
- Discount Amounts
- Registered deals receive Deal Registration Pricing as defined in the most recent price book.
- Disqualification - A deal registration may be revoked if any of the following occur.
- If the end-user has informed Semgrep in writing that they refuse to purchase from the Partner after reasonable efforts are made by Semgrep and Partner to convince the end-user otherwise.
- If the Partner is not actively working the deal (for example, by failing to respond to the end-user’s or Semgrep’s communications in a timely manner).
- If the Partner proposes products that are competitive to Semgrep in the same or an alternate proposal.
- If the Partner is not able to fulfill the deal (for example, by failing to have sufficient credit available).
- If the end-user chooses to fulfill its bid requirements under a contract vehicle which is not held by the registering Partner, or in a manner that prevents the registering Partner from being able to fulfill such requirements (for example, due to socio-economic set- asides, etc.)
- If the Partner has been placed on collections hold by Semgrep.
- Enforcement and disputes
- Partners that violate the deal registration rules are subject to termination from the Semgrep Partner Program.
- Partners must submit any disputes, whether with Semgrep or another Partner, arising from this deal registration program to [email protected]
- International
- Same rules apply.
- Program Modification and Termination
- All deal registrations are at the discretion of Semgrep. Semgrep may extend, cancel, or modify a deal registration at any time at its sole discretion.
- Semgrep may amend, modify, or revoke the Deal Registration program at any time at its sole discretion.
- The current version of these rules may always be found in the Deal Registration section of the Partner Portal.
